The NED's Show

On Thursday August 1st we had a professional yoyo-er called Nicole and her friend NED. She told us what NED’s name meant, the N stands for Never Give up and the E was Encourage others and the D stands for Do your best. The important messages that Nicole said was “Never use I know. When you encourage someone you give them courage then they will encourage other people.” After that NED went on a adventure to Mount Everest. He didn't know how to climb the mountain so a random yeti came to him. After the conversation NED had realised that he was climbing the mountain. He later went to a Pirate Island and then a pirate came. After that 1 hour he finally went on a spaceship. It was shaped like a brain. He knew that the aliens on the brainship was running out of fuel. He went to the engine room and fixed the problem. All of the brains people have need fuel to learn. The message for the show was “Never use the word I know use the word YET and always encourage other people” Bye!

Science Fair Blog

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about Science. Our project was to see what tea towel was the fastest at drying the plates. We got to test the Chef Towel, Old thin Purple plaid, Blue Towel (Plaid) and a Waffle towel. Our investigation was to see if the Chef towel was good. We had to test the tea towels both in hot water and cold water. I also learnt new stuff when I was doing the project. I learnt that the Chef towel was good when it was in the hot water. The challenging part was when I had to dry the plates, I used the old purple towel but it stopped drying the plates completely. I really enjoyed washing the dishes but when it came to drying the plates it was challenging.
