Beach Clean Up

In Te Ngahere we did a beach clean up. We had to go down to our beach and clean it. We had to bring shoes so we didn’t step on glass or anything sharp. We needed gloves to pick up rubbish so we couldn’t touch anything dirty or sharp. I learned that there were too many cigarette butts around the beach. I also felt good picking up the rubbish that people dropped because we could’ve made our beach beautiful. People liked to drop bottles around the beach and hide it because the rubbish bin was in a Liquor Ban Area. We picked up rubbish on the beach so the marine life in the ocean can live. I hope we get to do this again. It was fun picking the rubbish. Seeya!
