In Te Ngahere for maths we have been doing word problems. We were in different groups. My buddies were Kingi and Dale when we started word problems Kingi wasn’t here. The first problem was really easy, we had to do 38 + 18 + 37 - 28. We had to show our working out, here was my way to solve it; remove the ones in the tens 30 + 10 + 30 = 70 then we had to add the ones together 8 + 8 + 7 = 23 then we had to add the answers together 70 + 23 = 93 then I did 93 - 28 = 65. It was really easy but it got harder, I didn’t enjoy number 4 it was really confusing, but then I solved it. I learned new ways to solve a problem and also math was really fun I hope we could do another word problem again. Seeya!
